Merchants of the Market

Location:  Seattle, WA, United States
Starting From: US $16.50

Packed with an insider's experience! You will be introduced to the 'producers' that make up this community through their stories and their work. The Market has its own governing bodies, rules and regulations, and a host of characters that create its identity. This tour is an opportunity to share with you the vibrant history of the Market and let you in on its daily operations.

This 60 minute tour is written by a true insider! Mercedes has grown up in the Pike Place Market since the age of seven. Her parents own a shop in Pike Place Market; Studio Solstone and her father is the honorary mayor of Pike Place. She lived in the Market for many years and worked with the Market PDA and Merchants Association.

Join Mercedes and her team to learn how the Market operates, who the merchants are, and what it takes to own a business in the Pike Place Market. She went through it herself to open up her shop and it's no easy endeavour. The rewards are great! Bring a shopping list and ask any questions you might have.
